COVID-19 update: 306 cases, 55 recoveries reported for district

A total of 306 more cases of COVID-19 and 55 recoveries were announced Monday — reflecting a two-day reporting period for the Green River District — including 157 cases and 31 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (157), Hancock (5), Henderson (84), McLean (8), Ohio (33), Union (13), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (31), Hancock (2), Henderson (12), McLean (1), Ohio (4), Union (2), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 8,358
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 6,476 (77%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 53
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 504 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 145

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 3,401 cases, 2,616 recovered, 17 current hospitalizations, 186 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • Hancock County – 295 cases, 220 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 17 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,049 cases, 1,577 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 131 ever hospitalized, 39 deaths
  • McLean County – 386 cases, 287 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 29 ever hospitalized, 18 deaths
  • Ohio County – 986 cases, 743 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 67 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Union County – 706 cases, 604 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 535 cases, 429 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 26 cases
  • 1-11 — 254 cases
  • 12-19 — 691 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,371 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,267 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,275 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,213 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,043 cases
  • 70-79 — 687 cases
  • 80+ — 524 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
