COVID-19 update: 72 cases, 148 recoveries reported for district

A total of 72 more cases of COVID-19 and 148 recoveries were confirmed Monday for the Green River District. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (33), Hancock (3), Henderson (15), McLean (4), Ohio (7), Union (4), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (67), Hancock (9), Henderson (38), McLean (6), Ohio (8), Union (10), Webster (10)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 6,655
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 5,300 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 49
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 448 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 109

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,620 cases, 2,119 recovered, 15 current hospitalizations, 166 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Hancock County – 218 cases, 159 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 14 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,685 cases, 1,332 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 123 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 310 cases, 222 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 25 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Ohio County – 778 cases, 623 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 55 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Union County – 605 cases, 514 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 36 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 439 cases, 331 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 29 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 23 cases
  • 1-11 — 196 cases
  • 12-19 — 531 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,125 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,027 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,019 cases
  • 50-59 — 942 cases
  • 60-69 — 841 cases
  • 70-79 — 544 cases
  • 80+ — 403 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
