COVID-19 update: 11 deaths, 175 cases, 109 recoveries reported for district

A total of 175 more cases of COVID-19 and 109 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 111 cases and 57 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (8) and Ohio (3) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (111), Hancock (4), Henderson (18), McLean (7), Ohio (25), Union (4), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (57), Hancock (2), Henderson (26), McLean (5), Ohio (13), Union (3), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 9,665
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 7,170 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 47
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 550 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 174

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 4,047 cases, 2,943 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 202 ever hospitalized, 62 deaths
  • Hancock County – 327 cases, 247 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 18 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,302 cases, 1,714 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 142 ever hospitalized, 42 deaths
  • McLean County – 428 cases, 329 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,209 cases, 828 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 78 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Union County – 758 cases, 647 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 594 cases, 462 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

  • <1 — 33 cases
  • 1-11 — 293 cases
  • 12-19 — 801 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,573 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,455 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,484 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,403 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,227 cases
  • 70-79 — 789 cases
  • 80+ — 607 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
