COVID-19 update: 119 cases, 139 recoveries reported for district

A total of 119 more cases of COVID-19 and 139 recoveries were announced Thursday for the Green River District, including 73 cases and 70 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (73), Hancock (4), Henderson (7), McLean (7), Ohio (23), Union (3), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (70), Hancock (5), Henderson (24), McLean (1), Ohio (27), Union (5), Webster (7)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 10,904
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 8,176 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 53
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 583 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 201

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 4,751 cases, 3,451 recovered, 17 current hospitalizations, 210 ever hospitalized, 74 deaths
  • Hancock County – 358 cases, 276 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,490 cases, 1,913 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 154 ever hospitalized, 47 deaths
  • McLean County – 482 cases, 362 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,357 cases, 997 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 83 ever hospitalized, 27 deaths
  • Union County – 821 cases, 675 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 42 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 645 cases, 502 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 42 cases
  • 1-11 — 342 cases
  • 12-19 — 894 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,777 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,657 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,650 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,577 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,384 cases
  • 70-79 — 886 cases
  • 80+ — 695 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
