COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 190 cases, 130 recoveries reported for district

A total of 190 more cases of COVID-19 and 130 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 128 cases and 76 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (1) and Webster (1) counties.

A previously reported death in Union County has been determined to not be COVID-19-related.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (128), Hancock (2), Henderson (24), McLean (5), Ohio (10), Union (8), Webster (13)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (76), Hancock (4), Henderson (21), McLean (2), Ohio (16), Union (6), Webster (5)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 10,785
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 8,037 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 51
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 580 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 201

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 4,678 cases, 3,381 recovered, 16 current hospitalizations, 209 ever hospitalized, 74 deaths
  • Hancock County – 354 cases, 271 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,483 cases, 1,889 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 153 ever hospitalized, 47 deaths
  • McLean County – 475 cases, 361 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,334 cases, 970 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 83 ever hospitalized, 27 deaths
  • Union County – 818 cases, 670 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 42 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 643 cases, 495 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 40 cases
  • 1-11 — 335 cases
  • 12-19 — 881 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,761 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,632 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,638 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,564 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,371 cases
  • 70-79 — 873 cases
  • 80+ — 690 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
