COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 282 cases, 159 recoveries reported for district

A total of 282 more cases of COVID-19 and 159 recoveries were announced Friday for the Green River District, including 163 cases and 69 recoveries in Daviess County. Two coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (163), Hancock (8), Henderson (69), McLean (3), Ohio (16), Union (16), Webster (7)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (69), Hancock (3), Henderson (28), McLean (4), Ohio (44), Union (7), Webster (4)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 11,186
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 8,335 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 52
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 586 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 203

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 4,914 cases, 3,520 recovered, 18 current hospitalizations, 211 ever hospitalized, 76 deaths
  • Hancock County – 366 cases, 279 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,559 cases, 1,941 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 154 ever hospitalized, 47 deaths
  • McLean County – 485 cases, 366 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,373 cases, 1,041 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 84 ever hospitalized, 27 deaths
  • Union County – 837 cases, 682 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 652 cases, 506 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 44 cases
  • 1-11 — 349 cases
  • 12-19 — 912 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,823 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,696 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,698 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,619 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,426 cases
  • 70-79 — 916 cases
  • 80+ — 703 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
