COVID-19 update: 5 deaths, 203 cases, 37 recoveries reported for district

A total of 203 more cases of COVID-19 and 37 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 109 cases and 14 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Ohio (3) and Webster (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (109), Hancock (6), Henderson (42), McLean (4), Ohio (26), Union (12), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (14), Henderson (7), McLean (2), Ohio (8), Union (3), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 11,623
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 8,578 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 37
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 622 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 208

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 5,124 cases, 3,655 recovered, 25 current hospitalizations, 239 ever hospitalized, 76 deaths
  • Hancock County – 381 cases, 283 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,671 cases, 1,981 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 158 ever hospitalized, 47 deaths
  • McLean County – 499 cases, 377 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,409 cases, 1,072 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 85 ever hospitalized, 30 deaths
  • Union County – 871 cases, 694 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 44 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 668 cases, 516 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

  • <1 — 47 cases
  • 1-11 — 372 cases
  • 12-19 — 943 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,895 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,772 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,768 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,682 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,480 cases
  • 70-79 — 947 cases
  • 80+ — 717 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
