An Owensboro man is facing multiple drug and traffic charges — including trafficking meth and fleeing/evading police — after allegedly leading law enforcement on a 6-mile chase before crashing late Sunday night.

Joseph Anthony Horn, 32, was arrested for the incident according to Daviess County Sheriff’s Office. Horn is charged with driving under the influence, fleeing/evading police (motor vehicle), wanton endangerment, reckless driving, trafficking in meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, disregarding traffic control device, no insurance, no registration plates, and operating on a suspended license.

According to DCSO, at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a suspected intoxicated driver at the interaction of New Hartford Road and East Byers Avenue.

The driver, Horn, allegedly refused to stop and a pursuit ensued lasting approximate 6 miles before the vehicle crashed at the intersection of East Parrish Avenue and Leitchfield Road. According to DCSO, the driver fled on foot, and an Owensboro Police Department officer located the suspect hiding in a ditch a short distance from the vehicle.
