Brandon L. Ress, a 35-year-old Hawesville man, has been charged with murder for the homicide of Michael S. Crowe last week. According to the Owensboro Police Department, Ress is currently incarcerated in the Breckenridge County Jail.
According to OPD, officers responded to the 1700 block of McCulloch Avenue at approximately 9:30 a.m. Dec. 23 for a reported shooting. Officers located 49-year-old Crowe, of Owensboro, with a gunshot wound to the neck. Crowe died at the scene.
