COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 133 cases, 147 recoveries reported for district

A total of 133 more cases of COVID-19 and 147 recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 74 cases and 68 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (1) and Henderson (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (74), Hancock (4), Henderson (27), McLean (9), Ohio (12), Union (4), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (68), Hancock (4), Henderson (32), McLean (8), Ohio (15), Union (10), Webster (10)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 17,900
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 13,503 (76%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 28
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 760 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 306

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 8,271 cases, 6,166 recovered, 15 current hospitalizations, 296 ever hospitalized, 138 deaths
  • Hancock County – 696 cases, 503 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,879 cases, 2,931 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 189 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 756 cases, 576 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,122 cases, 1,620 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 104 ever hospitalized, 45 deaths
  • Union County – 1,148 cases, 933 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,028 cases, 774 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46%
  • Female: 54%

  • <1 — 72 cases
  • 1-11 — 614 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,545 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,951 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,833 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,736 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,571 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,193 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,400 cases
  • 80+ — 985 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
