COVID-19 update: 216 cases, 242 recoveries reported for district

A total of 216 more cases of COVID-19 and 242 recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 103 cases and 108 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (103), Hancock (9), Henderson (43), McLean (15), Ohio (23), Union (11), Webster (12)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (108), Hancock (13), Henderson (56), McLean (7), Ohio (29), Union (12), Webster (17)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 15,781
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 11,669 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 51
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 704 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 263

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,093 cases, 5,278 recovered, 23 current hospitalizations, 270 ever hospitalized, 118 deaths
  • Hancock County – 601 cases, 416 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,533 cases, 2,594 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 176 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 669 cases, 498 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,906 cases, 1,380 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 94 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Union County – 1,045 cases, 846 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 53 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 934 cases, 657 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.3%
  • Female: 54.7%

  • <1 — 64 cases
  • 1-11 — 519 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,297 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,596 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,469 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,422 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,243 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,969 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,268 cases
  • 80+ — 934 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
