COVID-19 update: 3 deaths, 235 cases, 250 recoveries reported for district

A total of 235 more cases of COVID-19 and 250 recoveries were announced Thursday for the Green River District, including 132 cases and 130 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related death each was reported in Davies, Hancock and Ohio counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (132), Hancock (14), Henderson (44), McLean (7), Ohio (15), Union (17), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (130), Hancock (13), Henderson (43), McLean (11), Ohio (25), Union (12), Webster (16)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 16,524
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 12,264 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 56
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 725 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 276

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,460 cases, 5,578 recovered, 25 current hospitalizations, 279 ever hospitalized, 124 deaths
  • Hancock County – 635 cases, 452 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,687 cases, 2,690 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 181 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 696 cases, 526 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 44 ever hospitalized, 25 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,996 cases, 1,455 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 98 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • Union County – 1,082 cases, 870 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Webster County – 968 cases, 693 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 51 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

  • <1 — 68 cases
  • 1-11 — 550 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,375 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,722 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,596 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,534 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,359 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,041 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,325 cases
  • 80+ — 954 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
