COVID-19 update: 7 deaths, 190 cases, 106 recoveries reported for district

A total of 190 more cases of COVID-19 and 106 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 71 cases and 56 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-deaths were reported in Daviess (4), Henderson (1) and Ohio (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (71), Hancock (18), Henderson (31), McLean (7), Ohio (48), Union (2), Webster (13)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (56), Hancock (3), Henderson (28), McLean (1), Ohio (10), Union (2), Webster (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 13,609
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 10,209 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 44
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 660 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 242

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 6,069 cases, 4,549 recovered, 25 current hospitalizations, 254 ever hospitalized, 103 deaths
  • Hancock County – 487 cases, 336 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,086 cases, 2,298 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 168 ever hospitalized, 51 deaths
  • McLean County – 571 cases, 442 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 37 ever hospitalized, 22 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,642 cases, 1,218 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 89 ever hospitalized, 32 deaths
  • Union County – 952 cases, 786 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 802 cases, 580 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 44 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.2%
  • Female: 54.8%

  • <1 — 55 cases
  • 1-11 — 429 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,100 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,230 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,099 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,099 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,945 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,722 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,107 cases
  • 80+ — 823 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
