The program allowing licenses or credentials to be renewed by mail was extended Monday by Gov. Andy Beshear. The order applies to Kentucky driver’s licenses, permits and state-issued identification cards that expired or will expire by June 30, 2021.

Applicants who require driver testing performed by Kentucky State Police must successfully complete that step before renewing a credential.

On Monday, the Daviess County Circuit Clerk’s Office issued a statement regarding renewing a driver’s license/ID when using the remote application.

The statement reads, in part:

You can simply drop off the form with your payment in the secure dropbox located at the judicial building or mail your form in with payment to the Daviess Circuit Clerk’s Office 100 E. 2nd Street P.O. Box 277 Owensboro, KY 42303.

All checks can be made payable to the Daviess Circuit Clerk. The remote application can NOT be used for those needing a name change or CDL renewal. In addition, please continue to schedule with KSP for your written & road tests. As always, please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have.
