COVID-19 update: 1 death, 46 cases, 71 recoveries reported for district

A total of 46 more cases of COVID-19 and 71 recoveries were announced Thursday for the Green River District, including 32 cases and 30 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related death was reported in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (32), Henderson (1), McLean (1), Ohio (8), Union (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (30), Hancock (4), Henderson (21), McLean (4), Ohio (6), Union (2), Webster (4)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 19,931
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 17,545 (88%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 21
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 836 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 328

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,441 cases, 8,319 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 337 ever hospitalized, 152 deaths
  • Hancock County – 767 cases, 682 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,216 cases, 3,652 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 197 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 819 cases, 740 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 48 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,333 cases, 2,067 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 116 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • Union County – 1,214 cases, 1,090 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 62 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,141 cases, 995 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • <1 — 77 cases
  • 1-11 — 713 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,764 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,279 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,155 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,114 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,873 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,419 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,497 cases
  • 80+ — 1,040 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
