COVID-19 update: 108 cases, 372 recoveries reported for district

A total of 108 more cases of COVID-19 and 372 recoveries were announced Friday for the Green River District, including 70 cases and 211 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (70), Hancock (5), Henderson (21), McLean (2), Ohio (3), Union (3), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (211), Hancock (9), Henderson (59), McLean (19), Ohio (37), Union (11), Webster (26)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 19,305
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 16,018 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 29
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 804 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 317

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,058 cases, 7,529 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 320 ever hospitalized, 146 deaths
  • Hancock County – 750 cases, 610 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,125 cases, 3,346 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 196 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 803 cases, 687 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 47 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,260 cases, 1,901 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 109 ever hospitalized, 46 deaths
  • Union County – 1,191 cases, 1,042 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 57 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,118 cases, 903 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 54 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.4%
  • Female: 53.6%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 76 cases
  • 1-11 — 688 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,691 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,182 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,062 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,999 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,772 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,341 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,469 cases
  • 80+ — 1,025 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
