COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 122 cases, 237 recoveries reported for district

A total of 122 more cases of COVID-19 and 237 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 73 cases and 120 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Ohio (1) and Union (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (73), Hancock (8), Henderson (15), McLean (3), Ohio (13), Union (7), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (120), Hancock (14), Henderson (43), McLean (13), Ohio (23), Union (14), Webster (10)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 19,133
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 15,425 (81%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 28
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 796 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 316

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 8,945 cases, 7,199 recovered, 15 current hospitalizations, 317 ever hospitalized, 145 deaths
  • Hancock County – 742 cases, 591 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,095 cases, 3,246 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 194 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 800 cases, 660 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 47 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,251 cases, 1,844 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 107 ever hospitalized, 46 deaths
  • Union County – 1,188 cases, 1,021 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 57 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,112 cases, 864 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 53 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.4%
  • Female: 53.6%

  • <1 — 75 cases
  • 1-11 — 676 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,669 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,151 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,033 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,970 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,745 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,329 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,464 cases
  • 80+ — 1,021 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
