COVID-19 update: 4 deaths, 143 cases, 219 recoveries reported for district

A total of 143 more cases of COVID-19 and 219 recoveries were announced Thursday for the Green River District, including 95 cases and 116 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (4) and Ohio (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (95), Hancock (7), Henderson (12), McLean (9), Ohio (10), Union (4), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (116), Hancock (13), Henderson (45), McLean (8), Ohio (16), Union (9), Webster (12)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 18,470
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 14,367 (78%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 25
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 773 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 314

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 8,622 cases, 6,616 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 302 ever hospitalized, 145 deaths
  • Hancock County – 715 cases, 542 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,985 cases, 3,093 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 190 ever hospitalized, 57 deaths
  • McLean County – 782 cases, 612 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,171 cases, 1,723 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 107 ever hospitalized, 45 deaths
  • Union County – 1,164 cases, 969 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,051 cases, 812 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 53 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46%
  • Female: 54%

  • <1 — 75 cases
  • 1-11 — 638 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,606 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,044 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,927 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,834 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,649 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,264 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,433 cases
  • 80+ — 1,000 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
