An 83-year-old Maceo man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after driving off the road, overturning and striking a residence in a single-vehicle accident Thursday night. No one at the residence was injured.

According to reports, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Yelvington and East Daviess County fire departments, and AMR were dispatched at approximately 7 p.m. to a single-vehicle with injuries in the 7500 block of KY 405.

According to DCSO, a 2019 Jeep Renegade was traveling northbound when it went off the right side of the roadway during a curve. The vehicle struck two trees, overturned, and struck a residence.

The driver, identified as Donald Davis, had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital by AMR with non-life-threatening injuries. Davis was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, according to DCSO.
