Information from the City of Owensboro:

Public Works crews began treating roads at the onset of the event on Sunday and will continue with 24-hour operations throughout this event. The City’s focus will remain on Priority 1 and 2 routes until the snow diminishes and these routes are cleared.

The City of Owensboro asks that citizens avoid parking on streets as this will help expedite our crews’ efforts. If vehicles must be parked on city streets, we ask that vehicles be parked on the even numbered sides of the street (in relation to house numbers).

Information from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 2 Office:

Crews will need to remain focused on A routes in an effort to keep primary corridors open to traffic for emergency service vehicles. Priority A routes include critical state routes and those most heavily traveled, such as interstates and main roads between counties or to hospitals, which receive the highest priority for snow-clearing efforts.

Priority B and C routes include other important but lesser-traveled state routes.
