COVID-19 update: 18 cases, 62 recoveries reported for district

A total of 18 more cases of COVID-19 and 62 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 8 cases and 43 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (8), Henderson (3), Ohio (6), Union (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (43), Henderson (6), McLean (4), Ohio (6), Union (2), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,219
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,183 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 10
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 852 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 339

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,609 cases, 8,709 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 345 ever hospitalized, 160 deaths
  • Hancock County – 773 cases, 698 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 22 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,256 cases, 3,745 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 200 ever hospitalized, 60 deaths
  • McLean County – 825 cases, 759 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,388 cases, 2,136 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 119 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • Union County – 1,223 cases, 1,122 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 64 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,145 cases, 1,014 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 81 cases
  • 1-11 — 735 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,798 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,312 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,204 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,158 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,915 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,453 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,511 cases
  • 80+ — 1,052 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
