COVID-19 update: 21 cases, 14 recoveries reported for district

A total of 21 more cases of COVID-19 and 14 recoveries were announced Saturday for the Green River District, including 10 cases and 11 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (10), Hancock (1), Henderson (4), Ohio (4), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (11), Henderson (1), Ohio (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,323
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,267 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 9
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 855 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 340

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,674 cases, 8,756 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 345 ever hospitalized, 160 deaths
  • Hancock County – 779 cases, 702 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 23 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,266 cases, 3,759 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 200 ever hospitalized, 60 deaths
  • McLean County – 825 cases, 759 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,406 cases, 2,153 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 121 ever hospitalized, 49 deaths
  • Union County – 1,224 cases, 1,124 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 64 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,149 cases, 1,014 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 54 ever hospitalized, 17 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • <1 — 81 cases
  • 1-11 — 742 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,807 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,337 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,217 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,178 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,931 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,463 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,514 cases
  • 80+ — 1,053 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
