Anyone ages 16 and older can now make an appointment — no waitlist — to receive a COVID-19 vaccination through Owensboro Health, and officials said there are plenty of open slots available this week.

Vaccines are now available for those ages 16 and up at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and the Owensboro Health Healthpark. Vaccine clinics at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville and Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Leitchfield are only vaccinating individuals 18 and older at this time. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18.

Last week, OH announced they were allowing anyone ages 16 and older to sign up for a waitlist.

They have replaced the waitlist feature with direct scheduling, so patients can now schedule an appointment online and receive their first dose right away.

Appointments can be scheduled at OwensboroHealth.org/Vaccine.

Note: If you have tested positive for COVID-19, OH officials recommend waiting 90 days before getting the vaccine.
