Gov. Beshear signed an executive order extending the moratorium on evictions from residential premises for nonpayment of rent through June 30, 2021.

Beshear said the Center for Disease Control also extended its moratorium on evictions through that date. To be covered by the CDC eviction moratorium, complete this Declaration Form. The declaration is required in order to prevent an eviction.

The Home Eviction Relief Fund is still accepting applications, with the state providing an additional $264 million to help with rental and utility assistance for past-due and future bills.

If approved, lump-sum payments will be made directly to landlords and utility providers — covering tenants’ past-due bills dating back to April 2020 as well as three months-worth of future bills.

The Home Eviction Relief Fund is providing $264 million total in help to all Kentucky counties outside of Fayette and Jefferson. Applications will close when funds are exhausted or program funding expires.
