While the Empty Bowls committee is anticipating an October event again this year, the date and location are still to be determined as more restrictions regarding COVID-19 are lifted. As soon as a date and location has been finalized, it will be announced on the Empty Bowls Facebook Page

Empty Bowls is a local organization that is dedicated to the national effort of feeding the hungry. Funds are raised through an annual event and are provided to local shelters, churches and other organizations that aid in the effort.

Tickets for the annual event will go on sale sometime in the fall. Only 400 tickets will be available for this event and tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The ticket allows attendees to select one of hundreds of handcrafted ceramic bowls made for this event by local artisans and students of Brescia University. Brescia’s art department supplies the clay, glaze, and location for the bowls to be created. Each participant at the event will then receive one of numerous soups made available by local restaurants, chefs and churches. New this year will be “celebrity servers.”As in years past, a silent auction will also be available at the event. Any person or organization wishing to donate an item or basket for the silent auction can email [email protected]. All donations to Empty Bowls are tax-deductible.
