The Owensboro Police Department is investigating what they believe to be an arson that occurred Monday night in the 700 block of Jackson Street.
According to a release, both OPD and Owensboro Fire Department responded at approximately 8:13 p.m. to a structure fire at an unoccupied residence. Upon investigation, the fire appears to have been intentionally set.
Detectives from the Owensboro Police Department as well as Arson Investigators from the Kentucky State Police responded and are investigating.
