A vehicle with three people still inside rolled into the Ohio River from the English Park boat ramp Sunday evening, though everyone was quickly evacuated and only minor injuries were reported, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess, an adult female and two children were inside the vehicle when it shifted into gear and rolled into the river where the vehicle partially submerged.
All three were safely removed from the vehicle and evaluated on scene, Boggess said. At least one person was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Owensboro Fire Department, AMR ambulance, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife all responded to the incident.
