Green River District COVID-19 update — August 6

The Green River District Health Department reported 477 new confirmed COVID-19 cases for the district on Friday — with 184 in Daviess County. Four deaths were also reported, three of which were Daviess County residents. The newly reported cases were investigated between Tuesday and Thursday.  

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 14 in Hancock, 120 in Henderson, 13 in McLean, 30 in Ohio, 48 in Union, and 38 in Webster. The other death was a resident of Webster County.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 115 new cases per day. All seven counties are now areas of high transmission.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 24,846 (11,673 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 36 (16 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,000 (396 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 421 (194 for Daviess)
