The City of Owensboro is conducting the annual surplus auction Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Owensboro Sportscenter (1215 Hickman Ave.), featuring everything from bucket trucks and utility vehicles to cars and motorcycles to jewelry and office equipment.

There will be two auction rings running concurrently. Small items will sell in the first hour. Major equipment, cars, trucks, and vehicles will be auctioned starting at approximately 11 a.m.

Surplus items will also be included from Regional Water Resource Agency, Daviess County and Owensboro public schools, Owensboro Riverport Authority, Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission and Owensboro Municipal Utilities.

Kurtz Auction and Realty will again be handling the auctioneering services.

All items sell “as-is, where-is” with no warranties. Inspection and pre-registration are scheduled for 12-2 p.m. Wednesday. All items must be removed from inside the Sportscenter by 4 p.m. and the parking lot by 5 p.m on Thursday.

Cash, checks payable to the City of Owensboro, and Visa/Mastercard (2% additional fee) will be accepted.
