Green River District COVID-19 update — September 17

The Green River District Health Department reported 649 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 12 coronavirus-related deaths on Friday — with 246 cases and 5 deaths in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Tuesday and Thursday.  

According to the GRDHD, 53.32% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 230 new cases per day.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 28 in Hancock, 174 in Henderson, 28 in McLean, 91 in Ohio, 32 in Union, and 50 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Henderson (1), Ohio (2), Union (2) and Webster (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 32,814 (14,898 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 19 (7 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,178 (475 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 485 (226 for Daviess)
