Green River District COVID-19 update — September 28

The Green River District Health Department reported 533 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 14 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday — with 242 cases and 5 deaths in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Friday and Monday.  

According to the GRDHD, 54.33% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 131.7 new cases per day.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 18 in Hancock, 70 in Henderson, 28 in McLean, 98 in Ohio, 36 in Union, and 41 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Henderson (4), McLean (1), Ohio (1), Union (1) and Webster (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 34,188 (15,469 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 19 (9 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,207 (491 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 518 (238 for Daviess)
