The Green Valley Beekeepers Association will be hosting their monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Daviess County Fairgrounds (6191 KY 54) at the West Exhibit Hall. The presenter will be GVBA director and advanced beekeeper Steve Hahus, who will deliver a program on winterizing hives.

Hahus will share his knowledge as a beekeeper, teacher, and biologist. He will provide tips on helping colonies survive the coming winter from issues of starvation, chilling, condensation, etc.

Non-members are welcome and encouraged to attend. There are a limited number of folding chairs in the West Exhibit Hall at the Fairgrounds, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own.

Due to the continuing high rate of COVID-19 cases in Daviess and surrounding counties, GVBA officials are still requesting that all attendees wear a mask and maintain social distance. Anyone experiencing any cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms on the day of the meeting is asked not to attend.
