A 51-year-old male suffered a potentially fatal gunshot wound on W. 8th Street Friday night, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, at approximately 7:50 p.m. OPD responded to the 800 block of W. 8th Street for a shooting. When officers arrived they located the male victim with a single gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
