A 15-year-old was shot Monday afternoon, though the injuries appear non-fatal according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, at approximately 2:30 p.m. DCSO deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Keenland Parkway and Pimlico Court in the Colony Estates Subdivision in eastern Daviess County.
Units arrived to find a 15-year-old juvenile who appeared to have a single gunshot wound to the foot, according to DCSO. The juvenile was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, at this time it appears the juvenile victim was the only intended target of the assault.
This investigation is still ongoing and further information will be released at a later time, according to DCSO.
