Owensboro man arrested for shooting that sent 1 to hospital; victim’s injuries not believed to be fatal

An Owensboro man has been arrested for a Thursday morning shooting that sent another person to the hospital with what are believed to be non-fatal injuries, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

At approximately 6:43 a.m., OPD responded to the 2100 block of Clinton Place West for a shooting. Officers located an adult male victim with a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Officers located the suspect, 42-year-old Charles R. Jean, driving on Daniels Lane and took him into custody. Jean was charged with first-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment.
