Update: The Daviess County Coroner’s Office has identified the bicyclist as Dennis Lagrone, 59 years old of Owensboro.

A bicyclist died after a collision with a semi truck at the intersection of East 4th Street and West Highland Court, according to the Owensboro Police Department. The incident occurred just after 4 p.m.
Officials closed the road between Wing Avenue and Alsop Lane for several hours while the OPD Accident Reconstruction Unit investigated. The road is now open.
AMR ambulance also responded to the scene.
