One person died on scene from a fatal two-vehicle collision on KY 81 Monday afternoon, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
According to DCSO, multiple agencies were dispatched to the incident, which occurred in the 2600 block of KY 81. The driver of a car was attempting to make a left-hand turn from the Daviess County Operations Center onto northbound KY 81 when they pulled into the path of a southbound truck.
According to DCSO, the driver of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck refused medical transport. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, according to an incident report.
The name of the deceased will be released by the Daviess County coroner’s office pending family notifications.
DCSO and AMR Ambulance, along with the Airport-Sorgho, Moseleyville, and Daviess County fire departments, responded to the scene.
