Owensboro Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at 314 Ewing Road Monday afternoon. The fire resulted in no injuries but some damage to vehicles on the scene.

The fire started from a vehicle parked behind the building, which is owned by River Valley Behavioral Health. It was initially marked as structure fire according to Cheif James Howard, however, when the team arrived it was contained to the vehicle.

Upon arriving, Howard said the team had to get into the fenced-off location behind the building and put the fire out quickly.

Fire Captain Bobby Grant said the fire remained contained to the vehicle it started from and received some damage. Surrounding vehicles did have minimal damage.

As of now, no foul play is considered as the car was parked in a fenced-off lot behind the building.
