The Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance annual cleanups will begin next month, allowing citizens to place approved items at their curb for disposal. Residents are encouraged to help beautify their neighborhood by picking up litter along sidewalks and streets on their scheduled cleanup day.
Boundaries for the neighborhood alliances can be found here.
The City of Owensboro Sanitation Department will provide free curbside pickup to alliance residential customers for junk furniture, appliances, tires, and other items. The sanitation crews cannot pick up construction debris/materials, yard waste, dirt, paint, or any type of liquid. To find out whether something is allowed to be picked up or not, call CityAction at 270-687-4444.
Residents are asked to place items curbside by the Friday night prior to their scheduled cleanup. For large items, residents should call CityAction at 270-687-4444 or email [email protected] by the Wednesday prior to their cleanup to schedule pick-up. Smaller items must be bagged or boxed.
