Update 2:34 p.m. – A 14-year old has been charged with 5 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and one count of Possession of a Handgun by a minor – 1st offense.
Detectives obtained information on the subject and are conducting interviews with the victims which lead to the juvenile within a few hours. The juvenile was found with two handguns in their possession, one is consistent with the weapon used during the commission of this crime.
They were taken into custody and is lodged at the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
Original story: Two occupied residences were both struck by gunfire early Saturday morning but no one was injured, according to the Owensboro Police Department. The incident is under investigation.
According to a release, OPD responded at approximately 4:06 a.m to the 3000 block of Allen Street for a reported firearm discharge.
