Daviess boys 2nd, Owensboro boys and girls 3rd at Owensboro T&F Invitational

The Daviess County Boys’ Track and Field program earned a second-place finish in the Owensboro Invitational, finishing second to Evansville North by a mere seven points. The Owensboro boys and girls programs secured third, with Evansville also winning on the girls’ side.

The Panthers leaned heavily on their relays, securing second-place finishes in all four events. To add to the DC point total, Connor White and Max Dees added first-place finishes in the long jump and triple jump.

Eli Early secured a first-place finish in the 110M hurdles, while Reece Carroll and Javius Taylor added first and third-place finishes in the 400M dash Owensboro. Carter Howard sandwiched himself between the pair of Red Devils for second in the 400.

Carson Groves from Muhlenberg ran away with the 300 hurdles, followed by Seth Pippin (DC) in second, Lucas Hartz (OHS) in third, and Carter Hoak (DC) in fourth.

Nolan Kurz added a third-place finish in the 1600 and followed with first-place in the 800. Owensboro’s Adrien Askins added a third-place finish in the 800.

Reece Carroll and Khalil Rodgers from Owensboro had a stronghold on the 200M Dash, coming in first and third, respectively.

The Owensboro boys won three of the four relays, while Ethan Pendelton won the high jump.

The Owensboro girls were second in the 4×200-meter relay, and Maya Joska and Keeli Hanley secured second and third-place finishes in the 400M Dash. Jasmine Buck added to the Lady Devil point total with a third-place finish in the 300M hurdles. Hanley also added a third-place finish in the 200M dash.

The Lady Panthers were led by Lucy Spaw and Bentle Stallings with fourth and fifth-place finishes in the 1600M run and third and fifth-place finishes in the 800M run. Blakely Greer and Sally Tidwell added second and third-place finishes in the 3200M run.

Chandler Worth finished third in the high jump and second in the triple jump, while Trinity Hogg added a first-place finish in the shot put for the Lady Devils.
