While many parts of the state and country saw a decrease in sales in April, the Greater  Owensboro REALTOR Association had a record month with 199 homes sold and $43.1 million in sales volume.

There were also 167 home sales pending at the close of the month, along with 163 active listings.

“Our market statistics go back to 2013, and April’s 199 homes sold is the most in recorded history,” said Michelle Wiesman, President of GO REALTORS. “That is incredible with the inventory challenges we’ve been facing. The days on market relaxed a bit in April, but the market still shows incredible strength locally.”

The average sold price for April was $216,591, a 14% increase over last year’s $190,522. The average days on market was 75.

Current active listings can be found at owensboromls.com. GO REALTORS serves Daviess, McLean, Ohio, Hancock, and Grayson counties. Statistics reflect all service areas.
