Updated 8:45 a.m. — A 45-year-old male pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle early Friday on New Hartford Road just north of the bypass, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, at approximately 5:14 a.m. OPD responded to the 3800 block of New Hartford Road for a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian died on
scene.
The OPD Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate the collision. Northbound lanes and one southbound lane were closed during the investigation but have since reopened.
