A 46-year-old Owensboro man died in a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
According to DCSO, the accident occurred in the 10000 block of U.S. 431 at approximately 4:45 a.m. The driver was traveling southbound when the truck left the west side of the roadway, striking a driveway culvert, utility pole, and tree.
Upon arrival, units found the vehicle on fire and the driver was located in the vehicle deceased.
Officials identified the driver as Christopher G. McCrady. Family notifications have been made and the Daviess County coroner’s office has authorized that the name can be released.
DCSO is continuing the investigation. DCSO, Utica and Daviess County fire departments, and AMR Ambulance all responded to the scene.
