Owensboro Police Department responded to a call at 7:45 Saturday evening at Poplar and West 5th Street for a firearm discharge. While responding a juvenile arrived at the Owensboro Fire Department, Station 1 with a single gunshot wound.
The juvenile was transported to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, according to OPD. They are beleived to have non-life-threatening injuries.
OPD currently believes that the juvenile was shot on West 5th where the original firearm discharge was reported.
