A 15-year-old was detained Monday and charged with two felonies related to the theft of an automobile and fleeing the scene of an accident last week, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile was cited and released to his guardian later in the day.

According to a release, at 8:11 a.m. on July 7 the Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 4200 block of Windy Hollow Raod. The Moseleyville and Daviess County fire departments and AMR Ambulance also responded.

The two juveniles fled the scene on foot. A tip was received Monday morning that the 15-year-old male driver was in a room at the Cadillac Motel. At 7:20 a.m. the Owensboro Police Department located the male juvenile and detained him.
