The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew D. Bailey, 45, and Monta D. Goodnight, 34, at a home in Maceo Wednesday morning and are charged with receiving stolen property.
The two were reported to have a Polaris Ranger and a Zero-Turn lawn mower that had been stolen out of Hancock County, according to DCSO. Deputies had gotten word the two were driving the Ranger and responded to the suspect’s address at 8400 Block of Highway 2830 and located the two of them washing the Ranger.
While there, DCSO reported they found a stolen Isuzu flatbed which is reported to be stolen from Hopkins County. Both suspects had keys that fit the Isuzu flatbed.
Bailey is charged with 3 counts of receiving stolen property and an unrelated arrest warrant from Indiana for felony theft.
Goodnight is charged with 3 counts of receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, giving officers false identifying information and an unrelated arrest warrant for drug trafficking.
