Owensboro Police Department arrested James Kanipe, 53, Friday afternoon for multiple residential burglaries in Owensboro which totaled over $16,000 in stolen property.
At the time of his arrest, he had three warrants for failure to appear, according to OPD. Kanipe is being charged with 4 counts of Burglary – 2nd degree, according to reports.
OPD said they have been working with Daviess County Sheriff’s Office to investigate several burglaries that have occurred in the Owensboro-Daviess County area over the past two months and Kanipe was developed as a suspect and located by patrol officers.
