Ball named CEO of Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

Ginny Ball

Ginny Ball, with over 18 years of experience in health care administration and over 12 years as a managing executive in the Owensboro community, recently took over as the new CEO of Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Advanced is currently located at Ridgecrest Medical Park at 2831 New Hartford Road, though they’ve purchased the former Kmart building in Wesleyan Park Plaza and plan to relocate there in 2023 after a total renovation to the facade and interior.

Prior to joining Advanced, Ball served as clinic director for Deaconess Health System. Previously, she has also served as the practice administrator of Summit Medical Specialists, PSC/Summit Obstetrics & Gynecology, PSC, as well as the regional clinic director for Owensboro Health Medical Group and the practice manager for Owensboro Health Women’s Center. Her expertise includes operations management, productivity, multispecialty leadership, physician and employee relationships, business development and performance management.  

“With the addition of Ginny to our team, we will be able to move forward with a strong vision as we continue to serve the growing bone, joint and muscle needs of our community,” said Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Practice President and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Charles Milem. “We will also enhance our focus on helping our patients get the specialized care they deserve from our dedicated providers and medical staff.”

Ball earned her bachelor’s degree in health care administration at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. After completing her studies, she became a physician recruiter and medical staff specialist for Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Ball has spent her whole career in the area, having served regional patients with physicians and medical staff chiefly in Owensboro as well as in Evansville.
