Tammy Roth and Veronica Blincoe opened 54 Cosmetics this summer, offering permanent eyeliner with free follow-up appointments. After exponential growth and additional training, the two are excited to add brows to their list of services with plans to add more in the future.

Both Roth and Blincoe have been overwhelmed by the community’s support, especially after the passing of Roth’s father and Blinco’s grandfather, who was an unyielding supporter of their new venture.

“We’re thankful for all the booked-up weeks we’ve had and all the new likes and followers on our Facebook page,” Roth said. “We lost someone very special to our hearts recently. He couldn’t make it to the ribbon cutting because he was too tired, but he was very proud of our accomplishments.”

Roth and Blincoe added that he played a pivotal role in their business model.

“He truly believed we could do anything if we tried hard enough and loved the fact that we valued each and every customer,” Blincoe said. “He admired that we treated everyone like friends and family because those things mean the most.”

The pair also takes pride in being a part of the Owensboro community and a proud member of the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce. They said this is only the beginning, and they have even greater aspirations for Owensboro.

54 Cosmetics shares a building with Shaka Tatoo at 4531 KY 54, Suite 2 (located behind Ritzy’s). Brian Benoit, Blinco’s husband and Roth’s son, owns Shaka — making the entire operation a family business.

“One of the best things is that I’m here with my family,” Blincoe said. “And the other part is that Tammy and I are very similar. We’ve both really had this on our hearts for a while, and being here gives us the perfect opportunity to do that.”

Clients continue to rave about how talented the owners are at their craft. Many clients have provided before-and-after images for the business to use on their Facebook page.
